General Rules
1) When you are role playing, you are not allowed to double post with your same character back to back in one thread. 2) You are allowed to double post in the same thread if you are posting with more than one RP character. 3) You may have up to 5 RP characters, as long as if you fill out all the proper forms for them. 4) Role Plays are supposed to be fun, so be respectful to everyone who you RP with... We all might come from different writing styles and backgounds, if you have troubles role playing with one person, then find another role play to join! 5) No god modding or power playing. It is rude and unfair... And if you god mod you will be banned for a few days. 6) No violence towards other characters, or animals. Also no drug/drinking talk, and no adult relationships. 7) There are many areas where you can create your own role plays. We encourage you to make them. If you make your own you can make it OPEN to everyone, of make it CLOSED where a limited amount of people can play. You mark them as open or closed in the subject area, after you title it you can put {OPEN} or {CLOSED} with the closed you can put a list of name of those that can RP in that thread, {CLOSED: Janet, Brad, Harvey}. Or with the closed thread you can list the names of people in the message area.

Role Playing 101
1) Creating your character is KEY in setting up a good role play. When you RP you can be whoever you want and act however you want (within reason). Having a detailed and developed character will help let others know who your characters are and how to role play with them. We have a whole area devoted to setting up your characters, and we encourage you to add your own things, and look at fellow members Character Profiles. The better you describe your character the more fun you and your fellow RPing friends will have. 2) Refrain from using netspeak. It can be quite annoying for those that you are role playing with. Netspeak are items like LOL, OMG, L8ter, and things of the such. 3) Use proper capitalization and punctuation. Remember to use quotes ("") when your characters are talking. 4) Try to really get into the mindset of your character. What do they see, what do they feel, how would they respond. 5) Don't stray from details. The better you describe something the better others will be able to see, feel, hear, what you have to say. 6) Sometimes there are role plays that require you only to say a few words, and at other times, a huge response might be required. Use your best judgement and see how your fellow RPers are RPing in the thread, and go from there.
